Strong and Tough PAm/SA Hydrogel with Highly Strain Sensitivity

چکیده

The hydrogel is a preferred material for flexible wearable sensors. In practical application, it should have high-efficiency mechanical toughness and self-healing performance. Besides, requires good affinity adhesion because of its contact with the skin. this experiment, we made an ultra-tough excellent cell adhesion. We used sodium alginate (SA) polyacrylamide (PAm) mixture as base fluid. Polydopamine reduce graphene oxide (prGO) was conductive nanofiller, then PAm-prGO-SA semi-interpenetrating network formed through Am radical polymerization. presence prGO endows hydrogels electrical conductivity. Simultaneously, some non-reduced GO forms non-covalent cross-links PAm, SA, (PDA) in network. stress can reach 750 KPa, strain 900%. hydrogel, combined electrical, properties, biocompatibility, expected to be applied portable, remote, real-time health monitoring systems.

Highly Stretchable, Strain Sensing Hydrogel Optical Fibers.

A core-clad fiber made of elastic, tough hydrogels is highly stretchable while guiding light. Fluorescent dyes are easily doped into the hydrogel fiber by diffusion. When stretched, the transmission spectrum of the fiber is altered, enabling the strain to be measured and also its location.

Tough Wet Adhesion of Hydrogel

In nature, robust interfacial adhesion plays crucial roles in maintaining integration and functionality of various physiological structures including tendon and cartilage to bones and epidermis to dermis in mammalian skins. For instance, the bonding of tendon and cartilage to bone is extremely tough (e.g., interfacial toughness ~800 Jm 2 ), yet such tough interfaces have not been achieved betwe...

Tough Supramolecular Hydrogel Based on Strong Hydrophobic Interactions in a Multiblock Segmented Copolymer

We report the preparation and structural and mechanical characterization of a tough supramolecular hydrogel, based exclusively on hydrophobic association. The system consists of a multiblock, segmented copolymer of hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and hydrophobic dimer fatty acid (DFA) building blocks. A series of copolymers containing 2K, 4K, and 8K PEG were prepared. Upon swelling in w...

Electrically conductive, tough hydrogels with pH sensitivity

Electrically conductive, mechanically tough hydrogels based on a double network (DN) comprised of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PPEGMA) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) were produced. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) was chemically polymerized within the tough DN gel to provide electronic conductivity. The effects of pH on the tensile and compressive mechanical properties...
